Great to join this site. I hope it's able to achieve the objectives set out. My focus these days is mostly on the next federal election. I am working with a number of people on a campaign called Catch 22 Harper Conservatives - a campaign to defeat as many incumbent conservatives as possible in the next federal election. We're also on Facebook. We've started off with a list of about 30 swing ridings across the country. 

If Canada had a fair voting system where each Canadian had an equal vote, we would not need to resort to strategic voting schemes such as this. But Canada's first past the post voting system is based on finessing split votes by using hot button issues, smear campaigns and fear. The results rarely reflect the overall preferences of the majority. Since we cannot rely on the political parties to put the interests of voters and the country first, voters need to counter this manipulation with some smart planning and action. Catch 22 is all about communicating with voters before the next election, particularly, but not only, in weak Con ridings. The damage that Harper and his merry band of tax cutters is doing to Canada's already deficient democratic space needs to be brought to an end. 

So while we work to dump the Cons, we've also got to educate the voters about the need to dump the voting system by giving every voter an  equal vote - a vote that counts - a system that is based on the majority principle of 50% +1. 

Catch 22 is not associated with any political party. Our campaign can benefit candidates from all three opposition parties currently in the House of Commons.
